ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR TAMPA BASIS 5 HAS ENDED
The Tampa Bay
Estuary Program, the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, and a Steering Committee
of Tampa Bay experts invite you to attend Tampa BASIS 5. This symposium will be held October 20 - 23, 2009 at the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort in St. Petersburg.
The symposium theme for 2009 is “Using Our Knowledge to Shape Our Future.” The event will focus on revisiting and
updating the science that was first presented at BASIS 1, held in May 1982.
The three and
one-half day symposium will feature various topics including:
Geology, Hydrology, Water Quality/Primary Productivity, Wildlife Resources, Sustainability, Habitats - Sediments, Seagrass Resources & Emergent
Wetlands, Environmental Regulation & Protection, Integrated Assessments, Watershed Management Initiatives, Anthropology, Science Communication, Climate Change, and
Future Challenges
